Francesco Bagnaia redeemed himself after his crash in the Sprint on Saturday and emerged victorious in the Catalunya MotoGP Grand Prix, securing Ducati’s first win in Barcelona since Jorge Lorenzo in 2018.

Championship leader Jorge Martin and competitor Marc Marquez claimed the other podium positions.

Bagnaia and the KTM duo, Acosta and Binder, made a good start, taking the lead at Turn 1, while pole position Aleix Espargaro dropped to fifth.

Martin aggressively overtook Binder at Turn 10 to secure a podium place and set his sights on Bagnaia and Acosta ahead.

Acosta attempted a move at Turn 10, but Bagnaia found an opening on the inside to regain the lead, while Marquez climbed to ninth, overtaking his current teammate Bastianini.

Miller’s crash added to his problems this season, increasing the pressure on his future in the race.

Martin passed Acosta on lap 4 and then overtook Bagnaia at Turn 10 on the following lap.

An error from Espargaro at Turn 3 allowed Fernandez to make a move on the outside line at Turn 4.

Acosta, now 20 years old, got ahead of Bagnaia at Turn 10, while his teammate Augusto Fernandez retired after a crash early in the lap.

Espargaro managed to pass Fernandez a few laps later, and both riders caught Binder off guard, moving up to fourth and fifth places.

Despite Maverick Vinales’ strong performance this season, he struggled to overtake Yamaha’s Fabio Quartararo in the first half of the race from the other side of the factory Aprilia garage.

Acosta’s weekend didn’t go as planned, as he lost control of his GasGas bike at Turn 10 on lap 11.

Marquez gained three positions after Acosta’s fall, overtaking Franco Morbidelli and Binder as he moved towards another podium.

Bastianini was the first rider to receive a long lap penalty for cutting a corner at Turn 2 after being pushed out by Marc Marquez.

Bastianini did not comply with the decision of the stewards, resulting in a double long lap penalty and a drop in position.

Bagnaia reached second place from Martin and smoothly overtook him at Turn 5, heading for victory.

Eight seconds behind, Marquez passed Espargaro at Turn 1 with four laps remaining.

Bagnaia’s victory in Catalunya marked his third win in Sunday races this season, while Martin extended his championship lead by one point.

Marquez once again secured a place on the podium from the fifth row of the grid, narrowly beating Espargaro to the final podium position.

Fabio Di Giannantonio made a move on Fernandez on the final lap, with both riders pleased with their good results.

The Gresini Ducati had a strong weekend, with Alex Marquez finishing in a solid seventh place, while Binder dropped to eighth.

Bastianini brought his bike home in ninth, with Quartararo completing the top ten.

Miguel Oliveira secured a double score for Trackhouse, holding off a late charge from Marco Bezzecchi, who finished in 12th place.

Acosta impressively recovered after his fall and scored points with a 14th place finish, ahead of Takaaki Nakagami, who secured Honda’s only point of the weekend.

Joan Mir and Johann Zarco followed closely, with Luca Marini crossing the line two seconds later.

Guest rider Stefan Bradl was the last classified Honda rider, while Alex Rins struggled and finished a minute behind the winner, Bagnaia.
