The VW Group is going through a turbulent phase with the announcement of the closure of production units in Germany. Additionally, Audi also announced in July that it will close the Brussels factory due to a decline in demand for the Q8 e-tron.
Audi’s decision did not please the workers, who stole 200 keys from vehicles produced to demand explanations from the parent company of the brand, VW, regarding the potential closure of the production unit.
According to “Europa Press“, which cites the Belgian news agency, the workers assured that no car will leave that factory until they receive concrete information about the future.
However, Audi warned that it will not yield to pressure and threatened to file a complaint with the police authorities if the vehicle keys are not returned by noon this Monday.
It is worth recalling that Audi announced in July that it is trying to find “solutions for the Brussels factory”, however, it admitted that among the possibilities there may be “a cessation of activities if no alternative is found”.
