Audi announced that it delivered approximately 1.7 million vehicles worldwide in 2024, of which over 164,000 were fully electric models. These figures represent a global decrease of nearly 12% (and 8% for fully electric models) compared to 2023.
The German automaker added that the decline in vehicle deliveries is attributed to challenging economic conditions, a highly competitive market, and limited availability of components. Furthermore, the impact of the new product range on global sales volumes is being felt only gradually.
“Global economic uncertainties and intensified competition also marked last year. Despite these challenges, we are confident that we will achieve our long-term goals. With a clear product and technology plan, Audi is systematically renewing its lineup, with over 20 new models in 2024 and 2025.”, said Audi CEO Gernot Döllner.
The Ingolstadt brand also revealed that among electric models, demand was particularly strong for the Audi Q4 e-tron, with nearly 108,000 units delivered globally. Since its market launch in the third quarter, the new Audi Q6 e-tron has recorded almost 15,000 deliveries.
In addition to fully electric models, sales of the Audi Q5 (with 298,000 units), Audi A6 (with 244,000 units), and Audi Q3 (with 215,000 units) stood out.
Highlight also goes to Audi Sport, which delivered over 41,000 high-performance vehicles worldwide in 2024, a decrease of about 14%. In the United States, Audi Sport models recorded over 9,000 deliveries, achieving their best result ever.
In Europe (excluding Germany), around 466,000 vehicles were delivered, a figure nearly 6% lower than the previous year. However, the number of electric vehicles was slightly below 81,000 units (+6%). The most popular models in Europe were the Audi A3 (84,000 units), the Audi Q3 (79,000 units), and the Audi Q4 e-tron (57,000 units).
In Portugal, Audi sold a total of 4,684 units, with the e-tron range (100% electric models) accounting for 33% of the brand’s total sales. In total, for electrified products (BEV and PHEV), Audi delivered a total of 2,721 units, representing 58% of Audi’s total sales in Portugal.
