Audi’s president seen as an excellent opportunity while Bottas seeks to extend contract.

Valtteri Bottas, Finnish driver, has expressed his interest in staying with Sauber as it transitions to Audi in Formula 1. Audi announced its partnership with Sauber in 2022 and plans to fully acquire the team by 2026. Bottas believes that this change provides security and a clear plan for the team, and he wishes to be a part of it. Although his contract with Sauber ends in 2024, Bottas hopes to lead Audi’s venture in Formula 1 and believes that his experience and teamwork skills will be valuable in adapting to the new regulations. He is motivated to compete at the top of the grid and sees Audi as a great opportunity to achieve that.
