Currently, Carlos Sainz has no confirmed program for 2025, knowing of his departure from Ferrari at the end of this year to make way for Lewis Hamilton. The possibilities for his future have been the subject of rumors, being linked to Mercedes, Red Bull, and also to Audi… whose speculation has resurfaced.

In a potential return to the Red Bull “sphere” – now in the main team – the Spaniard may have only a one-year contract. One aspect in which it will be difficult to compete with the alleged offer from Audi mentioned by the Austrian team consultant, Helmut Marko, to the newspaper Osterreich:

– Look, Sainz is currently in great form. I think he has a very good three-year proposal from Audi, but he has to make a decision relatively soon. We, on the other hand, will not make a decision soon. We will not let things like that pressure us.”

Audi will officially enter F1 in 2026, completing the total acquisition of the current Sauber team. However, it is logical to already place drivers in a transition year in 2025, especially since the current duo – Guanyu Zhou and Valtteri Bottas – are at the end of their contracts.
