Audi is getting closer to launching one of its most anticipated electric proposals: the new RS Q6 Sportback e-tron, a high-performance SUV that promises to combine power, aggressive design, and cutting-edge technology.

An RS yet to be revealed, but already in the final phase

Although it has been spotted testing since 2024, the Audi RS Q6 Sportback e-tron has not yet been officially presented.

However, everything indicates that the model is now in the final phase of development, with a launch expected later this year or early 2027.

More aggressive design and a sportier stance

Compared to the Q6 and SQ6 versions, the RS Q6 features several visual changes that reinforce its character:

  • new front bumper with redesigned air intakes
  • more pronounced side skirts
  • specific rear diffuser
  • exclusive wheels and larger brakes

In addition, the model appears to adopt a lower ground clearance, contributing to a more dynamic presence.

Shared platform with the electric Porsche Macan

The new RS Q6 will be based on the PPE platform, the same one used by the Porsche Macan Turbo Electric.

It is expected to use:

  • dual motor system
  • all-wheel drive
  • approximately 100 kWh battery

High power, but below the Macan

Although official numbers have not been released, estimates suggest:

  • power below 630 hp
  • torque below 1,129 Nm

This would place the RS Q6 slightly below the electric Macan in terms of performance.

Competitive range

Based on the platform and battery, the range should be around 472 km (EPA), positioning the model competitively in the segment.

More affordable price than the direct rival

The RS Q6 is expected to be more accessible than the electric Macan Turbo, whose price starts above 110 thousand dollars, making it a more balanced alternative between performance and cost.

A new chapter for Audi Sport electric

With this model, Audi reinforces its offensive in the high-performance electric SUV segment, positioning the RS Q6 as a more “controlled” option, yet still very capable.

A direct rival in a growing segment

The RS Q6 enters an increasingly competitive market, where the balance between power, range, and price will be decisive.

If it meets expectations, it could become a key player in Audi Sport’s electric strategy.
