Aston Martin Vanquish inspira obra de arte

The new Aston Martin Vanquish has inspired a light sculpture by British-American contemporary artist Anthony James, unveiled in Hollywood just before the Frieze Los Angeles art festival.

Launched in 2024, the Vanquish is revered as a work of automotive art. Now, it serves as inspiration for “Reflections of Speed,” a monumental immersive sculpture measuring 5.4 meters by 2.6 meters, created over twelve months at Anthony James’s studio in Los Angeles, which brings the Vanquish to life through his unique style of light, alchemy, and the use of modern materials.

Every element, from the smallest curve to the most intricate feature, has been meticulously crafted, comparable to the Vanquish, the automotive masterpiece from Aston Martin itself.

“The Vanquish is more than just a car; it is a sculpture in motion. The Vanquish expresses true contemporary elegance through its proportional perfection, toned appearance, wide stance, flowing curves, and striking silhouette. There is immense passion when creating pure emotion, and this new Vanquish is the culmination of fearless creativity and human ingenuity. With its shape crafted to evoke emotions, the Vanquish, like any work of art, aims to inspire and captivate.”, said Marek Reichman, Executive Vice President and Chief Creative Officer of Aston Martin.

Following its unveiling, Anthony James’s sculpture will be displayed to the public at the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles, and will subsequently be offered for private acquisition later this year, with all proceeds going to benefit the museum and the LA Arts Community Fire Relief Fund, an emergency fund for artists and workers in the arts sector affected by the recent devastating fires in Los Angeles.

It is worth noting that the Aston Martin Vanquish is equipped with a 5.2-liter twin-turbo V12 engine, capable of delivering a maximum power of 835 hp and a torque of 1000 Nm.
