Aston Martin Valour: Superdesportivo avistado na Suíça
ADVERTISEMENT

The Aston Martin Valour, a limited edition grand tourer that captivates wherever it goes, was recently spotted in Switzerland, displaying a spectacular green and black color combination. This supercar, limited to only 110 units worldwide, proudly showcases a V12 engine, a rarity in an era dominated by strict emissions and fuel economy regulations that force manufacturers to opt for smaller engines with electric assistance.

The Valour, unveiled in July 2023, is a tribute to Aston Martin’s 110 years of history, a brand older than its Italian rivals Ferrari and Lamborghini. The spiritual successor to the unique Victor, based on the One-77 and reminiscent of the V8 Vantage from the 70s and 80s, the Valour features a 5.2-liter twin-turbocharged V12 engine (instead of the naturally aspirated V12 derived from Aston Martin’s 5.9-liter Ford-era engine), resulting in a more muffled exhaust sound due to the turbochargers needing to use exhaust gases. Unmistakable.

Although the price of the Valour has not been officially disclosed by Aston Martin, dealership sources in the United States suggest it to be between 1.5 to 2.0 million dollars, significantly above the V12 Vantage, which was sold for around 300,000 dollars. The Valour offers 705 horsepower and 753 Nm of torque, slightly surpassing the V12 Vantage but still below the DBS Superleggera derived from the DB11, which boasts 715 horsepower and 900 Nm.

Aston Martin is expected to produce the 5.2-liter V12 engine until 2026 or 2027 at the latest, with the goal of offering an electrified option for each model line by 2026, moving towards a fully electrified main range by the end of the decade.
