Aston Martin Valiant é a versão mais desportiva do Valour com 735 cv

Aston Martin has revealed the Valiant, a radical version of the Valor, which will have a limited production of 38 units and was originally conceived as a personal order from Formula 1 driver Fernando Alonso.

The new model, which will be presented to the public at the next edition of the Goodwood Festival of Speed in the UK, is equipped with a 5.2-liter twin-turbo V12 engine that produces a power of 735 hp and a maximum torque of 753 Nm, which is 30 hp more than the Valor.

The power is transmitted to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission and, like in the Valor, the limited-slip differential is a purely mechanical unit.

The sports car produced by Aston Martin’s Q customization division has undergone detailed work to reduce its weight, and for that it is equipped with a 3D-printed rear subframe that allowed, according to the Gaydon brand, to reduce the weight by 3 kg, to which a magnesium torque tube is added, which allows to lower the weight by 8.6 kg. The unsprung mass has been reduced by 14 kg thanks to the use of new 21” magnesium wheels, while a lithium-ion battery saves an additional 11.5 kg.

The Aston Martin Valiant is seen as the sportiest variant of the Valor, and several details contribute to enhancing the model’s aerodynamics, such as a redesigned front with a generous splitter, complemented by a fixed rear spoiler and a huge diffuser. On the other hand, the bodywork has been remodeled to improve airflow and is entirely made of carbon fiber.

As standard, the Valiant is equipped with a braking system with 410 mm carbon-ceramic discs at the front and 360 mm at the rear axle, shock absorbers

Multimatic Adaptive Spool Valve that can be adjusted to one of the 32 damping curves in less than six milliseconds. In addition, Aston Martin engineers have further enhanced the Sport, Sport+, and Track driving modes of the new sports car.

The interior does not hide its inspiration from motorsport, and a cut in the transmission tunnel reveals the connection of the gearbox, as well as a half roll cage, Recaro Podium seats with four-point safety belts, as well as carbon fiber and Alcantara details.

It is certain that Fernando Alonso will receive the first unit of this Aston Martin Valiant, but the Gaydon brand has already announced that deliveries of the new limited edition sports car are scheduled for the fourth quarter and that the price of each unit will depend on the level of customization.
