Aston Martin has decided to renew the DBX with more technology and simplify the range of the high-performance SUV, which will now only be available in the 707 variant, therefore giving up the lower power version.
The sales success of the DBX 707 in 2023 contributed to this decision by the Gaydon brand, which also invested in updating the 707 hp model with more technology in its interior.
To achieve this, the SUV has been equipped with a new sports steering wheel, a 12.3” instrument panel, along with an updated infotainment system with a 10.25” screen, compatible with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The renewed DBX 707 also offers a sound system with 14 speakers and 800 watts, which is part of the standard equipment, although an optional Bowers & Wilkins sound system is available, featuring nothing less than 23 speakers and 1600 watts.
No exterior, Aston Martin made few changes to the DBX 707, however, the updated SUV features retractable door handles, new side mirrors, as well as a new palette of five body colors: Epsilon Black, Helios Yellow, Sprint Green, Malachite Green, and Aura Green, along with Podium Green, which was previously exclusive to the DBX 707 AMR23 Edition.
Regarding the engine, the DBX 707 continues to use the Mercedes-AMG V8 biturbo engine that delivers 707 hp and a maximum torque of 900 Nm, paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission that sends power to an all-wheel drive system capable of distributing 100% of the torque to the rear wheels. These numbers allow the DBX 700 to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.1 seconds and reach a top speed of 310 km/h.
However, Aston Martin announced that it has made adjustments to the shocks and air suspension to optimize the SUV’s dynamics.
To harness all the power of the DBX 707, Aston Martin continues to rely on a braking system equipped with 420 mm carbon-ceramic discs at the front and 390 mm at the rear axle, hidden behind 22’’ wheels as standard, and with the option of 23’’ forged wheels.
Aston Martin also announced that the revamped DBX 707 will go into production in the second quarter of the year with the first deliveries scheduled for the third quarter.
