Aston Martin has decided to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the classic James Bond film “Goldfinger,” a movie that marked the beginning of the partnership between the British brand and the most famous of Her Majesty’s spies.
To commemorate six decades of partnership, Aston Martin’s customization department, Q, produced a DB12 Goldfinger Edition inspired by the DB5 in which secret agent 007 appeared in the 1964 film.
This DB12 Goldfinger Edition features a silver paint application that matches the Silver Birch signature used on Bond’s DB5. Additionally, the exclusive model is adorned with gold details, as well as a unique Aston Martin logo in silver with black enamel. The exclusive 21-inch silver wheels hide black brake calipers.
Inside, there is a highlight on the leather seats, as well as a perforation pattern designed to match the Prince of Wales check pattern that James Bond wore in his suits. This pattern is repeated in the door linings, as well as on the sills, which feature a special engraving marking the 60th anniversary of Goldfinger.
Aston Martin announced that it will produce only 60 units of this DB12 Goldfinger Edition, which, like the “normal” version presented this year, features a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine sourced from AMG, delivering 680 hp.
