Red Bull’s next young sensation is here—and his name is Arvid Lindblad.
At just 17 years old, the British-born Red Bull junior is making waves in the motorsport world, and after a dominant run in junior categories, he’s set to make his Formula 2 debut in 2025 with Campos Racing.
Could he be the next Verstappen? The next Vettel? That’s what Red Bull will be watching closely.
Lindblad’s Meteoric Rise Through the Ranks
Red Bull’s driver development program has produced some of the biggest names in Formula 1—Sebastian Vettel, Max Verstappen, and Daniel Ricciardo, to name a few. Now, all eyes are on Lindblad.
Born in Surrey, England, on August 8, 2007, Lindblad started karting at the age of five. He wasted no time in making an impression, winning the WSK Super Master Series in 2020. His talent caught the attention of Red Bull, which signed him to their junior program in 2021, setting him on a fast track toward F1.
From there, his career has skyrocketed:
✅ 2023: Took his first Formula 4 win at Dubai Autodrome and dominated the Italian F4 season before reliability issues cost him the title.
✅ 2024: Moved to Formula 3 with Prema Racing, winning four races and finishing fourth in the standings.
✅ 2025: Won the Formula Oceania Regional Championship and secured a spot in Formula 2 with Campos Racing.
Why Red Bull is Watching Closely
Lindblad’s rapid progression has drawn comparisons to some of the most successful Red Bull juniors in history. The 17-year-old has the raw speed, racecraft, and determination needed to succeed, but F2 will be his biggest test yet.
Red Bull has one of the most ruthless driver academies in motorsport, and while Lindblad has the talent, he must prove he can handle the intensity of F2 to stay in the pipeline for an F1 seat.
If he delivers, Red Bull won’t hesitate to move him up the ladder. If he struggles? They won’t hesitate to look elsewhere.
Could Lindblad Reach F1 in 2026?
With multiple Red Bull seats potentially opening up in the next few years, Lindblad has a real shot at Formula 1—but only if he dominates in F2.
Drivers like Liam Lawson, Isack Hadjar, and Ayumu Iwasa are also in the mix, and Red Bull has plenty of options. But if Lindblad delivers a standout rookie season, he could position himself as the next big thing in the Red Bull stable.
For now, the spotlight is on his F2 debut with Campos Racing. If his past results are any indication, this won’t be the last time we hear his name.
F2 in 2025 will be a proving ground. Will Lindblad rise to the challenge? The road to F1 starts now.
