Antony Davidson prevê mudanças significativas no mercado de pilotos da Fórmula 1 após a troca de Hamilton para a Ferrari.

Hello, how are you today? I hope you are doing well.

Sergio Perez and Fernando Alonso are among the notable free agents who could potentially make moves in the Formula 1 driver market. Anthony Davidson believes there will be a major shake-up in the market following Lewis Hamilton’s unexpected move to Ferrari. Hamilton’s departure from Mercedes, confirmed in February, has sparked speculation and anticipation for more significant transfers. At 39 years old, Hamilton’s decision to leave Mercedes after 11 years is a major twist in the sport. Toto Wolff, team principal of Mercedes, now faces the task of finding a replacement to partner with George Russell, adding intrigue to the upcoming driver reshuffle. Carlos Sainz is also without a seat after Ferrari’s decision to keep Charles Leclerc alongside Hamilton, leaving half of the F1 grid with contracts expiring at the end of the season. Sergio Perez and Fernando Alonso are among the notable free agents in a position to make potential moves. With contracts set to expire at various teams, including Haas, Aston Martin, Alpine, Sauber, and Visa Cash App RB, Davidson predicts a significant shake-up in the driver landscape in the coming weeks, foreseeing a substantial upheaval. Davidson expressed his anticipation for the driver market, stating that he feels it is about to explode. Although he does not know if it will happen this weekend or in the future, he believes it will happen soon. He envisions established drivers leaving the sport as new talents enter, emphasizing the imminent turnover. Hamilton’s departure from Mercedes has led to reflection and gratitude from the seven-time world champion. In a statement, he expressed his appreciation for his 11-year journey with the team and acknowledged the crucial role Mercedes played in his career from a young age. Despite the emotional weight of his decision, Hamilton is excited for the new challenge at Ferrari and is committed to delivering his best performance in his final season with Mercedes.
