Notably, Toyota GAZOO Racing’s Kamui Kobayashi displayed impressive speed, despite facing challenges that forced him off track briefly. The race saw its fair share of obstacles, including a full-course yellow for debris on the circuit and penalties for various teams for infractions.
In the LMP2 category, Inter Europol’s #43 Oreca 07 held onto the lead, with Mathias Kaiser in the #25 Algarve Pro Racing Oreca encountering a setback after a collision with the #16 RLR M Sport.
Meanwhile, in the LMGT3 class, Alessio Rovera of AF Corse led the pack in the #21 Ferrari 296 LMGT3, with Valentino Rossi’s #46 WRT BMW M4 GT3 Evo and Richard Lietz in the #92 Manthey Porsche 911 LMGT3.R following closely behind.
