António Félix da Costa aims for redemption in Miami: will Jaguar finally score points?

Title: Félix da Costa Sets Sights on Redemption in Miami: “It’s Time to Start Our Championship with Solid Points!”

In the high-octane world of Formula E, every race can redefine a driver’s fate. After a disheartening start to the 2026 season, António Félix da Costa is ready to unleash his potential in the sun-soaked streets of Miami. The Portuguese driver, representing Jaguar TCS Racing, is hell-bent on transforming his competitive performances—so far devoid of points—into real results at the eagerly anticipated E-Prix at the Hard Rock Stadium.

Félix da Costa’s journey has been riddled with frustration. Despite showcasing commendable skills in the opening rounds in Brazil and Mexico, misfortunes plagued him at every turn. “The confidence I carry stems from our performance in the initial races,” he stated firmly. “Unfortunately, we left Brazil empty-handed due to an incident beyond my control and faced another setback in Mexico. But Miami presents a fresh canvas—a chance to rewrite our narrative.”

The Miami circuit, renowned for its vibrant atmosphere, is a unique blend of excitement and challenge. Spanning a mere 2.32 kilometers with 14 intense twists and turns, the track’s layout has sparked debate. The strategic activation point for the ‘attack mode’ at curve 4 could be a game-changer, influencing race dynamics significantly. Félix da Costa, however, is not entirely convinced about the circuit’s length. “The design is reminiscent of last year’s EVO Sessions,” he noted critically. “Yet, the recent alterations have made it even shorter, which could lead to lap times around 55 seconds—unprecedented for our category.”

Despite not participating in the earlier promotional event, the Jaguar ace expressed his concerns over the circuit’s brevity. “I believe it should be longer. While I’m not part of the FIA or Formula E decision-making bodies, I hope there’s a valid reason for this choice,” he remarked. With a clear desire for improvement, he emphasized the importance of constructive feedback. “Everyone involved—from the FIA to the teams—should remain open to enhancements. We’re here not to criticize but to elevate the sport for our fans.”

As the Miami weekend approaches, Félix da Costa radiates ambition and determination. “It’s time to start our championship with solid points. I’ll hit the track with aggression and the goal of bringing home our first points of the season,” he declared with palpable enthusiasm. His love for racing in Miami is evident: “I always enjoy competing here. The atmosphere is electric, and the approach to racing is all about the spectacle. We’re going all in this weekend!”

As the clock ticks down to the race, all eyes will be on Félix da Costa. Can he transform his early-season woes into a triumphant comeback? The stage is set for an electrifying showdown, and the stakes have never been higher. Miami, prepare for a thrilling display of speed, strategy, and sheer willpower from one of Formula E’s brightest stars!
