Young Italian racing sensation, Andrea Kimi Antonelli, faces challenges and triumphs at Suzuka during FP2. Despite finishing 16th on the time sheet, Antonelli remains optimistic about his performance on the track. In an interview with Sky Sport F1, he admitted to making several mistakes during the session but highlighted the competitive edge of his long-run pace.

Antonelli reflected on his experience, acknowledging the difficulties faced during FP2 but also emphasizing the positives. “I made many mistakes, especially in the first sector with the red tires, but the long-run seemed much more competitive,” Antonelli stated. Despite the setbacks, he expressed confidence in the performance of his Mercedes car, hinting at the potential for a strong finish in the upcoming races.

As the Italian driver navigates the challenges of Suzuka, he remains focused on improving and capitalizing on the strengths of his vehicle. With a mix of highs and lows, Antonelli’s determination and resilience shine through as he sets his sights on achieving success in the races to come.
