Andretti revela novo local em Silverstone no meio dos preparativos contínuos da F1.

Andretti Global is moving forward with its aspirations to join Formula 1 in the future with the announcement of a new location at Silverstone Park. The FIA initiated an Expression of Interest process over a year ago to identify potential new F1 teams, and Andretti’s proposal was the only one accepted. However, Formula One Management (FOM) did not give the green light for Andretti to enter in 2025 or 2026, raising doubts about its competitiveness. However, FOM stated that they would reconsider the application in 2028 if General Motors commits as an engine manufacturer. Prior to the F1 announcement, Andretti had been making progress in its plans, including hiring former Renault engineer Nick Chester as Technical Director. The team had a base in Silverstone, where they were developing plans to test a full-scale F1 chassis model by mid-2024. Now, Andretti has entered the next phase of its F1 adventure with a new 48,000 square foot building in Silverstone, expanding its operations. The new headquarters will include manufacturing facilities such as standards, models, and machines workshops, as well as ADM, electronics, R&D, and additional office and meeting spaces. Additionally, the Silverstone location will collaborate with Andretti’s main site in Indiana, USA, and its Formula E base in Banbury. Andretti emphasized that their work is progressing rapidly and believes that having a European base will allow them to attract top talent from F1 and utilize state-of-the-art machinery.
