Andretti Global has made an exciting announcement regarding their FIA Formula E team for Season 11. Nico Müller, a Swiss driver, has been signed by the team to replace Norman Nato, who recently departed from the American squad. Müller will be partnering with Jake Dennis, the Season 9 World Champion, as they aim to bounce back from a disappointing campaign in which Dennis finished seventh in the Drivers’ title and the team placed fifth in the Teams’ Championship. Müller expressed his enthusiasm for joining the Andretti Formula E team and working alongside Dennis, stating that he will give his best to contribute to the team’s success and strive for podium finishes and his first Formula E win.
Andretti’s Team Principal, Roger Griffiths, expressed his delight in welcoming Nico Müller to the team for Season 11. Griffiths highlighted Müller’s proven familiarity with electric racing and his ability to deliver strong results across various Formula E tracks. Müller’s experience and success in Formula E and other respected racing series make him a valuable addition to the team. Andretti Global’s CEO, Michael Andretti, also shared his high expectations for Season 11 and his confidence in Müller’s capabilities. Andretti believes that Müller’s expertise will contribute to the team’s pursuit of victories and World Championships.
In previous Formula E campaigns, Müller has competed in four seasons, initially with the Dragon/Penske brand before joining ABT for Season 9 in 2022. Müller’s impressive performances have led many to believe that he has pushed the car beyond its limits, increasing his reputation in the sport. TAG Heuer Porsche even conducted an early test with Müller, considering him as a potential replacement for Antonio Felix da Costa. However, da Costa’s improved form and the agreement to honor his contract with the team made it challenging for Müller to find a vacancy with another team. Eventually, Porsche was able to offer Müller a drive with its customer team.
