Alpine’s Future in Jeopardy: Colapinto Threatens to Oust “Idiot” Rivals with F1 Bombshell

Rising Star Franco Colapinto Sends Shockwaves Through Alpine Team with Bold F1 Declaration

In a move that has left the Alpine team reeling, Franco Colapinto has set the stage for a potential shake-up in the world of Formula 1. The Argentine driver, who recently joined Alpine as their reserve driver for the 2025 season, has not minced words when it comes to his ambitions within the team and his opinion of his fellow drivers.

Colapinto’s arrival at Alpine was a result of being left without a seat following Carlos Sainz’s arrival at Williams. However, far from being content with a reserve role, Colapinto has made it clear that he is eyeing a full-time opportunity with Alpine. In a bold statement on the Nude Project podcast, Colapinto declared, “I’m an Alpine driver, I have a contract with them. I’m working there and I’m hoping for an opportunity with that team. They made a huge effort to get me. If the other idiots fell asleep, it’s too late now.”

This declaration has put the spotlight squarely on Jack Doohan, Alpine’s current driver, who is now facing increased pressure to deliver results amidst Colapinto’s looming presence. Doohan’s recent mishap at the Japanese Grand Prix, where he failed to open his DRS and subsequently crashed at 180mph, has only added to the speculation surrounding his future at the team.

With Alpine yet to score a point in the 2025 F1 season and struggling at the bottom of the constructors’ standings, Colapinto’s emergence as a potential contender for a race seat has injected a new level of intrigue into the team dynamics. The young driver recently participated in testing at Monza, further fueling speculation about a possible promotion to a race seat in the near future.

As the tension mounts within the Alpine camp, all eyes are now on whether Franco Colapinto will indeed replace Jack Doohan and usher in a new era for the team. Rumors swirl as fans eagerly await the next chapter in this high-stakes Formula 1 saga.
