The sporting program for Jack Doohan for the next season is not yet defined, but there are already two certainties: he will not repeat Formula 2 and will continue to be a reserve driver for Alpine in Formula 1.
One possibility would be to integrate the constructor’s program in the World Endurance Championship (WEC), which is ruled out considering that the six drivers have already been announced. Either way, the reserve seat in F1 is guaranteed.
Bruno Famin, vice president of Alpine Motorsport, stated in a press conference transcribed on the FIA website: ‘We are finalizing Jack’s program for next year. He will be our reserve driver in Formula 1 for sure. And he will focus on that. He will train and be a reserve, and that’s all I can say for now’.
