Alpine is preparing to unveil its first 100% electric sports car, the A290, a model that will be presented on June 13th during the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
The hot-hatch version of the Renault 5 electric paves the way for a complete range of 100% electric models that reinforce Alpine’s ambition for growth and development.
Remember that the Alpine A290 is the first model of the French brand’s “Dream Garage,” which promises to combine the power of the 100% electric vehicle with a new daring look.
Little is known about the new Alpine model, however, in the recent winter tests conducted, the French brand used a prototype that is close to the production version, measuring 3.90 m in length, 1.82 m in width, 1.52 m in height, and with a wheelbase of 2.53 m. The Dieppe factory also confirmed that the new A290 is equipped with a sporty steering wheel covered in Nappa leather and that the 100% electric model is equipped with driving modes inspired by Formula 1: OV (overtake), RCH (recharge), and Drive.
