Alpine Hit with Shocking €5,000 Fine for Bizarre F1 Tyre Rule Violation at Las Vegas Grand Prix

Alpine Slapped with €5,000 Fine for Shocking Tyre Rule Breach at Las Vegas Grand Prix!

In a dramatic twist at the Las Vegas Grand Prix, Alpine F1 Team has found itself in hot water, facing a hefty €5,000 fine from the FIA for an unusual breach of tyre regulations during practice. The incident unfolded during the critical FP3 session when the team was accused of failing to electronically return tyres used on driver Franco Colapinto’s car.

The FIA stewards swiftly summoned Alpine for questioning, and the findings were as surprising as they were revealing. While it was confirmed that the team had physically returned the tyres to Pirelli, they had neglected to complete the necessary electronic submission of the tyre return. This oversight, albeit seemingly minor, led to an official reprimand from the FIA and the imposition of the monetary penalty.

The repercussions of this blunder are particularly noteworthy as it comes amidst a fiercely competitive atmosphere in the world of F1, where every detail counts. Colapinto, despite the team’s slip-up, managed to secure a commendable 15th place in qualifying, while his teammate Pierre Gasly finished in 10th, showcasing the team’s potential even in the face of regulatory missteps.

As the F1 community watches closely, this incident highlights the razor-thin margins teams must navigate in adhering to complex regulations. With every move scrutinized, Alpine’s slip serves as a cautionary tale about the importance of meticulous compliance in the high-stakes arena of Formula 1 racing.
