After presenting the A290_β prototype in 2023, Alpine is preparing to reveal its first 100% electric vehicle, a hot-hatch version of the electric Renault 5.
The new electric city car, with a sporty DNA, which will be Alpine’s first 5-seater sports model, will be presented on June 13, during the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
Remember that the Alpine A290 is the first model in the French brand’s “Dream Garage,” which promises to combine the power of the 100% electric vehicle with a bold new look.
Little is known about the new Alpine model, however, in the winter tests recently conducted, the French brand used a prototype close to the production version with a length of 3.90 m, a width of 1.82 m, a height of 1.52 m, and a wheelbase of 2.53 m. Dieppe’s headquarters also confirmed that the interior of the new A290 is equipped with a sporty steering wheel covered in Nappa leather and that the 100% electric model is equipped with driving modes inspired by Formula 1: Overtake (OV), Recharge (RCH), and Drive.
We must wait for the worldwide presentation to get to know in detail the first 100% electric model from Alpine.
