Alpine A290 ganha versão de rali

To mark its 70th anniversary, Alpine presents its first 100% electric competition car, the A290 Rallye ready for competition to remind us that electric mobility is not a barrier to spreading excitement.

It is true that the A290 Rally is far from a powerful Group B, but it has all the competition genes that Jean Rédélé envisioned for Alpine when he created the brand.

A true gateway to electric competition and designed according to the latest regulations of the International Automobile Federation (FIA), the A290 is ready to take off. Prepared to assert itself in various disciplines.

The engine delivers 220 hp of power and 300 Nm to the front wheels, the same power as the standard A290, and is equipped with a ZF limited-slip differential, ensuring excellent performance. Consequently, the gearbox and electronic management system have been updated. The A290 Rallye is equipped with the latest electric monitoring systems to ensure the optimal use of electric technology.

Just like the best rally cars of today, the front braking is ensured by 6-piston monobloc calipers and 350 mm discs. At the rear, single-piston calipers act on 280 mm discs, with a competition-type ABS system developed by Alpine Racing. Finally, the inclusion of the essential hydraulic handbrake completes the braking system of this competition version.

The A290 Rallye is based on the chassis of the standard A290, with components adapted by Alpine Racing for the world of competition, including a specific suspension with ALP Racing Suspension dampers. The special 18” EVO Corse wheels are fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport A tires.

Finally, since sound is an integral part of the experience for both the audience and the rally drivers, a new innovative system will allow the A290 Rallye to emit a sound that corresponds to the vehicle’s speed and throttle position.

Alpine has already announced that the price of the A290 Rallye will be revealed soon and that the brand’s first 100% electric competition model will make its dynamic debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, which will take place in the UK from July 10 to 13.
