After the controversy surrounding the name “Milano”, of the new Alfa Romeo SUV, the Italian brand has now announced that the newly renamed “Junior” is the star of Milan Design Week running until the 21st.
In a completely unexpected way, the name of the compact sports model from Alfa Romeo has been changed. “Milano” has been replaced by “Junior”, which makes its debut to the public at the Larusmiani boutique, a historic fashion brand in Milan, and a big name for over a century in Milanese elegance and “Made in Italy” quality, in the MonteNapoleone District.
Remember that the new Junior is a B-segment SUV, 100% electric, designed to be the sportiest model in the segment, especially in the top-of-the-range Veloce variant, which offers 240 hp of power and a more refined chassis configuration.
The first 100% electric model from Alfa Romeo comes with an electric motor with two power levels, 156 or 240 hp, in the case of the Veloce variant, powered by a 54 kWh battery, which according to the Italian brand offers high energy density. Specifically, in the 156 hp version, the lithium-ion battery announces a range of 410 kilometers on the WLTP cycle or 590 km in urban cycle.
Alfa Romeo has already announced that in Portugal orders for the Milano will start next May, when the Italian brand will reveal the prices for the national market of the new SUV.
