Alfa Romeo returns to the Paris Motor Show, which kicks off on October 14, showcasing its complete range and the revamped Tonale making its world debut at the City of Light event.
The evolution of the award-winning Alfa Romeo C-SUV, which introduced the Italian brand to the world of electrification with its characteristic sportiness, has been refreshed and now features new interiors, highlighted by a redesigned center console, a new rotary selector for the automatic transmission, and an updated instrument panel.
The model on display at the Paris Show is the Veloce version in the Hybrid configuration, featuring a 160 hp, 1.5-liter, 4-cylinder engine with variable geometry turbo (VGT), paired with the new 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, along with a “P2” 48-volt electric motor producing 15 kW and 55 Nm (135 Nm with a 2.5:1 gear ratio), capable of driving the wheels even when the internal combustion engine is turned off.
Alfa Romeo has already announced that the refreshed Tonale offers a range structure consisting of two trim levels (Sprint and Veloce), while the available engines include the 1.6 Turbo Diesel with 130 hp, the 1.5 hybrid with 160 hp, and the Q4 Plug-In Hybrid with 280 hp. In Portugal, order openings will begin later in October.
In addition to the revamped Tonale, which will hit the market in 2025, the Junior Speciale Ibrida with 136 hp is also making its global debut at the Alfa Romeo display. This top-of-the-line version includes a targeted selection of the highest specifications in the range, presented in a unique configuration.
Also available with a 156 hp electric motor, this exclusive version synthesizes sportiness, technology, and comfort. In particular, the new Junior Speciale Ibrida on display in Paris features a hybrid VGT (Variable-Geometry Turbo) architecture with 136 hp and 48 V. The internal combustion engine is a 1.2-liter 3-cylinder Miller cycle engine with variable geometry turbo and a timing chain for maximum reliability. The electric component consists of a 48-volt lithium-ion battery and a 21 kW electric motor integrated into the innovative 6-speed dual-clutch transmission, which works in conjunction with the inverter and transmission control unit to ensure maximum efficiency.
Another highlight of the Alfa Romeo stand at the Paris Motor Show is the new 33 Stradale, the authentic “manifesto” of the Italian brand’s capabilities—both now and in the future—in terms of style and driving experience.
