After his time with Honda, Marquez joined the Faenza team in 2023 and achieved two podium finishes in his debut season. Despite not yet securing a grand prix victory, Marquez’s performances impressed Gresini Ducati, leading to the decision to extend his contract. The Marquez brothers have contributed to Gresini’s success this season, placing them in third position in the Teams’ Championship, behind Pramac and Ducati’s factory teams.
