Alex Albon sente inveja quando sua avó tira uma foto com Lando Norris, agora sua principal escolha atrás do volante.

Alex Albon’s grandmother had her wish fulfilled after meeting Lando Norris at an airport in Japan before the Japanese GP. Formula 1 drivers have a strong bond off the track, despite competing against each other on the track. Some even travel together with their families and partners. The families of the drivers have a deep respect and love for everyone in the sport. Albon’s grandmother was no different, as she recently had the opportunity to meet Norris and considered it a dream come true.

Norris and Albon coincidentally were at Narita Airport in Japan at the same time. Albon’s grandmother recognized the 24-year-old driver and took some photos with him. Albon shared the experience on social media and jokingly expressed his envy, stating that his grandmother now had a new favorite driver.

After meeting Norris, Albon’s grandmother sent him a message about the coincidence. She mentioned that she had told Norris about her relationship with Albon and expressed how meeting him had fulfilled one of her dreams. She wanted Norris to know this so that he wouldn’t think she had lied just to take a photo with him.

McLaren has shown an impressive performance at the start of the 2024 season. The team had a smoother start compared to last year. When asked about the team’s potential to improve further in Suzuka, Norris admitted that it might not be the case. He referred to the 2023 Australian GP and how the team’s performance wasn’t as bad considering the difficulties they had with the MCL60.

Norris acknowledged that McLaren had made a great comeback this year, as evidenced by their podium at Albert Park. However, he also mentioned that the team had hoped the Australian GP would be a good weekend for them.

McLaren may pose a tough challenge for Red Bull and Ferrari throughout the season. The British team currently sits in third place in the standings, ahead of Mercedes. Only time will tell if McLaren can move up to the front of the pack next season.
