The possible move of Adrian Newey to Ferrari has been the subject of intense speculation in recent weeks. After leaving Red Bull in a surprising manner, the renowned aerodynamics expert has an uncertain future in Formula 1. However, Ferrari’s constant interest has fueled rumors that Newey may join the team. The Englishman has not yet confirmed his plans for the future in the pinnacle of motorsport.

Newey’s departure from Red Bull caught the racing world by surprise. Since then, both Aston Martin and Ferrari have been linked to the 65-year-old genius. It is believed that Ferrari is willing to offer Newey a substantially higher salary and greater creative freedom compared to his previous contract. The Italian team would be willing to make great efforts to secure his services.

Recent reports suggest that Adrian Newey is close to finalizing a deal with Ferrari. If the rumors are true, he will receive a significant increase in salary compared to his previous earnings at Red Bull, which reached almost $19 million. This represents an exciting opportunity for the 65-year-old Briton to work with Ferrari next season. Additionally, the potential partnership between Newey and Lewis Hamilton could bring great success to the seven-time world champion in Maranello.

Adrian Newey’s expertise has contributed to the success of several teams throughout his career. His deep understanding of regulatory changes has proven invaluable, and if he joins Ferrari in the future, his impact on the 2026 season regulations could be significant. However, Newey has chosen not to comment further on the current situation.

Fred Vasseur, the team principal, praised Newey’s remarkable achievements in Formula 1, labeling him as the most successful engineer in the paddock. However, Vasseur refrained from commenting on the possible move to Ferrari. Regardless, it is expected that Newey will clarify his future in the sport soon.

As Newey wraps up his final work on the RB17 Hypercar, he will bid farewell to the team. Joining Ferrari would fulfill a long-standing dream for the 65-year-old Briton, and achieving success with the Italian manufacturer could be the ultimate accomplishment for the technical wizard in Formula 1. With Newey on board, Ferrari’s prospects for success would certainly skyrocket.
