Adrian Newey sai da Red Bull em momento inconveniente.

Red Bull in critical situation after Adrian Newey’s departure from Milton Keynes. The renowned aerodynamics genius decided to part ways with Red Bull and focus on completing the RB17 hypercar, leaving the Austrian team without his guidance during their current struggles in Formula 1.

Adrian Newey, who joined Red Bull in 2005, played a crucial role in the team’s success, contributing to their seven driver titles and six constructor championships. His expertise was especially evident in Max Verstappen’s record-breaking campaign in 2023. However, with Newey no longer with the team, Red Bull is facing challenges in the increasingly competitive F1 landscape.

While Red Bull initially dominated the ground effect era in Formula 1, they are now facing strong competition from Ferrari and McLaren. Verstappen has already suffered three defeats this season and it seems the team is dealing with simulator issues affecting their on-track performance. Without Newey’s expertise, Red Bull’s technical team is under pressure to find a quick solution to this problem and catch up to their rivals.

Christian Horner, Red Bull team principal, acknowledges that Newey’s departure has left a void in the team. The technical director states that the team has something to prove, but it is clear that Newey’s expertise would have been invaluable in dealing with the current challenges. If Red Bull does not recover in time, they risk falling behind their rivals in next year’s car development.

Max Verstappen’s loyalty is tied to performance, and he has made it clear that he will consider leaving the team if they do not deliver results. However, the team, led by Pierre Wache, is working tirelessly to bounce back from a series of tough weekends. Verstappen himself has contributed by spending more time in the simulator before the Canadian Grand Prix.

Undoubtedly, Adrian Newey’s departure is already having an impact on Red Bull. The team must show a significant improvement throughout 2024 to prove that their success did not depend solely on Newey. However, it remains to be seen if Red Bull will be able to thrive without the aerodynamics genius at the helm.
