Adamastor Furia passa com distinção nos testes de pista

The first Portuguese supercar, the Adamastor Furia, continues to undergo dynamic testing, with the most recent taking place at the Algarve International Circuit, where the Furia put its 650 hp power to the test.

Adamastor’s engineers took the opportunity to refine the dynamics of the supercar, equipped with a 3.5-liter V6 engine from Ford Performance, capable of delivering over 650 hp and more than 571 Nm of maximum torque, allowing for acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds and from 0 to 200 km/h in 10.2 seconds, as well as a top speed exceeding 300 km/h in the road version.

On the Portimão track, the Furia accumulated kilometers with Diogo Araújo Matos behind the wheel, an engineer and development driver for Adamastor, in order to draw conclusions regarding the potential performance of the supercar.

“It has been a constant evolution. We started off in a more ‘soft’ manner and gradually increased the pace. I began to feel the dynamics of the car, and right from there, it was possible to grasp a bit of the performance we are aiming to achieve. It’s obvious that we are still far from the limits of the machine. These are the first steps, but the initial impressions are already very good”, said Diogo Araújo Matos.

The development driver did not hide his surprise at the Fúria’s response to the driver’s requests. “Even at a calm pace, you can perceive everything: the braking, the way the Fúria responds to requests, always showing balance. It’s curious that from the very beginning, the Fúria has conveyed a strong ‘feeling’ of a racing car, very reactive. Just ‘shade the accelerator’ and the engine immediately revs up. It’s impressive! It’s an easy car to drive and a lot of fun,” he added.

It is already known that Adamastor will produce only 60 units of the Fúria, each priced at €1.6 million plus taxes.
