Acidente entre Albon e Ricciardo causa bandeira vermelha na F1 Japão

Daniel Ricciardo, from Australia, and Alexander Albon, from Thailand, collided at the beginning of the race. This incident occurred on April 7, 2024, during the Japanese Grand Prix, which is part of the Formula 1 World Championship. The crash took place in Suzuka, Japan, on race day.

The race was interrupted shortly after the start due to the collision between Ricciardo and Albon. As they approached the left turn three in Suzuka, Ricciardo moved to the right to avoid traffic on his left. Unfortunately, he was unaware that Albon was on his right, resulting in contact between the two drivers. This caused them to spin off the track and hit the barriers.

Fortunately, both Ricciardo and Albon escaped the incident without injuries. However, their participation in the race was abruptly ended, and race officials raised the red flag to indicate the suspension of the race.

The top nine drivers maintained their positions at the start of the race, while the bottom half of the standings saw some changes. Yuki Tsunoda had a poor start, causing him to drop to 12th place. Meanwhile, Nico Hulkenberg and Valtteri Bottas managed to overtake Tsunoda, gaining higher positions.

As only one lap out of 53 had been completed before the collision, a second start will be scheduled to resume the action.
