ABUSED FORD BRONCO IS GOING TO NEED MORE THAN SOME TLC TO GO OFF-ROADING EVER AGAIN

Ford Bronco Owner’s Off-Roading Adventures Take a Toll on Vehicle’s Frame

In a shocking turn of events, Mitch, an avid off-roader and owner of a Ford Bronco, has pushed his vehicle to its limits. Since purchasing the car in 2021, Mitch has subjected it to the harshest terrains, leaving the frame cracked and in need of urgent repair. Despite the severity of the damage, Mitch remains optimistic, referring to the necessary repairs as “a little maintenance.”

This is not the first time Mitch has faced this issue. Back in August 2023, the frame of his less-than-three-year-old Ford Bronco Badlands suffered a similar fate. The vehicle, which originally rolled off the production line of the Michigan Assembly Plant in Wayne, has undergone significant modifications. It now boasts 37-inch Toyo tires, a Baja lift kit, upper and lower trailing arms, and the Icon three-stage suspension.

Mitch takes full responsibility for the damage, acknowledging that years of relentless abuse on rough terrains have taken their toll on the frame. The sheet metal simply cannot withstand the punishment, resulting in serious cracks throughout. Mitch discovered these cracks on both sides of the frame just before embarking on an adventure along the Rubicon trail, a challenging 22-mile route in Sierra Nevada.

Despite the alarming condition of his vehicle, Mitch refused to miss out on the thrill of off-roading. The Bronco squeaked, creaked, and screeched as it protested against each wheel spin. Finally, after four months of enduring these issues, Mitch took his Bronco to the shop for repairs.

The repair process involved removing the fuel tank to gain access to the damaged frame. As Mitch observed the extent of the damage, he couldn’t help but express his disbelief. “The more I look, the worse it gets,” he muttered, rubbing his head in frustration. The passenger’s side of the frame appears to be the most severely affected.

Although the repairs may offer some damage limitation, it is important to note that once a frame is broken, it can never be the same. The reinforcement on the frame appears to be an improvised solution, and only time will tell how effective it truly is. Despite this uncertainty, Mitch seems satisfied with the work done on his Bronco.

With the repairs complete, the Bronco fires up without issue. However, it is only a matter of time before Mitch takes his newly repaired vehicle for another round of off-roading adventures.
