Audi unveiled the new RS Q8 at the beginning of summer, and now it’s the turn of the German tuner ABT to showcase its most radical tuning of the Q8 and SQ8 versions, which come with increased power and enhanced aerodynamics.
The highlight of this ABT preparation is indeed the SQ8, which has become more powerful than the RS Q8 Performance, benefiting from the ABT Power S module that allows the 4.0-liter V8 biturbo TFSI engine to deliver 650 hp and a maximum torque of 850 Nm. This means an increase of 143 hp and 80 Nm over the factory version of the SQ8, and 10 hp more than the RS Q8 Performance.
In addition to the SQ8, ABT announced that the ABT Power S performance upgrade is also available for four other powertrain systems, including the two hybrid propulsion variants, which also utilize the 3.0-liter V6 gasoline engine, although the German tuner has not disclosed specific data.
The aerodynamic package includes a revised front lip, new side skirts, 23-inch wheels, a redesigned rear bumper, a new rear wing, and a rear diffuser with four exhaust tips.
Additionally, ABT lowered the suspension of the Ingolstadt brand’s SUV by 25 mm, using a new module for the adaptive air suspension.
Inside, there are standout features such as glossy carbon fiber details on the seats, the gear selector, and the dashboard, as well as an illuminated ABT logo on the door sills and the start-stop switch.
