A Heritage by Stellantis celebrates the 75th anniversary of the Abarth brand with a double tribute to the Scorpion legend: the suggestive temporary exhibition, installed in the Heritage Hub, which portrays the brand’s significant milestones through some of its most famous cars, and the presentation of the “Abarth Classiche 1300 OT” project materialized in the 1:3 scale model exhibited in the commemorative exhibition.
The Abarth Classiche 1300 OT is a dream that the Italian brand has now announced, which will soon become a reality in a production of only five units.
Evolving from the Abarth Classiche 1000 SP, the Abarth Classiche 1300 OT is the contemporary reinterpretation of one of the most iconic sports cars of the 1960s.
It is worth noting that in 1965, the original Fiat Abarth OT 1300 stood out on the track for its exceptional agility and power, based on an effective tuning of the Fiat 850.
The new car designed by Heritage features a body now made of carbon fiber, and once again presents the characteristic “periscope” of the historic car, reinterpreted in a contemporary tone. The rear glass in acrylic with slits to allow for cooling and the large rear grille for the engine compartment, characterized by the inscription “Abarth”, underline the connection with the historical design.
The front, with its sinuous curves, recalls the sports cars of the Italian brand from the past, with generous openings dedicated to cooling.
“The Abarth Classiche 1300 OT represents the most authentic and genuine way to pay homage to an epic car that still resides in the hearts of all true Abarth fans worldwide”, adds the brand in a statement.
The Heritage division of Stellantis has already announced that the Abarth Classiche 1300 OT, produced in a limited number of five units, can now be ordered, although the price of this exclusive classic has not been revealed.
