2025 WRC schedule unveiled

Source: WRC (X)

The upcoming World Rally Championship in 2025 is set to be the longest in almost 20 years, featuring a total of 14 events. The season will commence with the traditional Monte Carlo Rally in January, followed by two familiar events from this year, Sweden and Safari. The fourth round will introduce a new event in the Canaries, marking its debut in the WRC. Paraguay and Saudi Arabia will then follow, with the Middle Eastern event concluding the 14-round calendar, the first of its kind since 2008.

Estonia will make way for Latvia in the WRC, as the Liepāja-based event returns to the European Rally Championship. Jona Siebel, the managing director of WRC Promoter, expressed excitement about the diverse calendar, which combines traditional rallies with three thrilling new challenges, including two events outside of Europe. This showcases the global appeal of the championship, from the icy terrains of the French Alps to the snowy landscapes of Sweden, the dusty conditions in Kenya and Sardinia, the high-speed gravel tracks in Finland and Estonia, and finally, the desert stages in Saudi Arabia.

FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem also praised the extensive calendar for the 2025 WRC season. In addition to the classic locations that fans know and love, the introduction of new rallies in Spain, Paraguay, and Saudi Arabia adds further excitement and reflects the diverse range of competitors and rally enthusiasts worldwide.

Here is the schedule for the 2025 World Rally Championship:

– Monte Carlo Rally: January 23-26
