Pierre Gasly, from the Alpine F1 team, exited the pits during the Monaco Grand Prix Practice Day on May 24, 2024, in the Formula 1 World Championship, Round 8, held in Monte Carlo, Monaco.
In the opening practice session for the Monaco Grand Prix, Lewis Hamilton took the lead with a time of 1:12.169s.
Hamilton finished 0.029s ahead of Oscar Piastri from McLaren, while George Russell from Mercedes came in third, with a gap of 0.126s.
Lando Norris from McLaren, and Charles Leclerc from Ferrari (using medium tires), completed the top five positions.
Following Leclerc, came the two Aston Martins, with Fernando Alonso leading his teammate Lance Stroll.
Yuki Tsunoda and Daniel Ricciardo from Red Bull had a strong performance at the Monaco circuit, securing eighth and ninth place, respectively.
Carlos Sainz from Ferrari claimed the tenth position, while Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez were close to the top half of the timing sheet, finishing in 11th and 12th place.
