Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) announced the signing of a multi-year contract to use Fortescue’s advanced battery intelligence software, Elysia, in their next-generation electric vehicles.
Fortescue’s new Elysia software will make its debut in the new 100% electric Range Rover, which will be launched later this year, and the British brand has already stated that it will provide faster charging, greater reliability, and increased range for their models.
JLR also revealed that Fortescue’s innovative software uses digital twins based on physical data and probability artificial intelligence to identify and resolve battery issues, thus helping the automaker optimize the performance and safety of their models’ batteries.
“Thanks to Fortescue’s technology, JLR will have greater access to data analysis, a crucial aspect of our goal to electrify our entire vehicle range by 2030. As the industry moves towards electrification, these partnerships are essential to further enhance the safety, performance, and lifespan of our batteries”, Thomas Mueller, Executive Director, Product Engineering, JLR.
