Hulkenberg confessa que Seidl é crucial na transição da Sauber para a Audi na Fórmula 1.

This is a paragraph of text

Nico Hulkenberg, a German driver, confessed that the involvement of Andreas Seidl, CEO of the Sauber Formula 1 team, played a crucial role in his decision to join the team in 2025 before Audi’s acquisition. Sauber recently announced that they had signed a long-term contract with Hulkenberg, as Audi prepares to enter F1 under new regulations. Hulkenberg made a return to F1 with Haas last season, but will now return to Sauber and reunite with Seidl, who is responsible for overseeing the transition to Audi. Seidl had previously led Porsche’s entry into LMP1 in 2015, where Hulkenberg won the prestigious 24 Hours of Le Mans race. Hulkenberg revealed that he had stayed in touch with Seidl and even inquired about a position at McLaren when he was left without a full-time contract in 2020. When asked about the importance of Seidl in his decision to switch from Haas to Sauber and join Audi’s venture next season, Hulkenberg responded positively, recognizing Seidl’s influential role in Audi’s management. Hulkenberg emphasized that Seidl was a straightforward and honest person with whom he had spoken in the past, especially during the uncertainties of the 2020 season. However, this time, Seidl was eager to hire Hulkenberg, indicating a significant change in circumstances. Hulkenberg also mentioned that Seidl and Audi’s ambition to become strong competitors upon their arrival in 2026 was an attractive prospect. He acknowledged that racing for a manufacturer brings high expectations and that Audi, like other top teams, is striving to achieve their goals. With over 200 starts in F1 and extensive experience, Hulkenberg believes that Audi values his expertise, judgment, and ability to contribute to the car’s setup and development. He recognized that this opportunity is significant, but also comes with high expectations and the responsibility to deliver.
