VÍDEO: Fred Vasseur reage de forma cômica a fãs que aguardam chegada de Adrian Newey à Ferrari.

Fred Vasseur remained silent amidst rumors that Ferrari is trying to secure the services of Adrian Newey for the upcoming season. Newey’s departure from Red Bull has sparked speculation about his next move in Formula 1. While some speculate that the 65-year-old may retire, others have different opinions. Regardless, Ferrari has shown great interest in acquiring the expertise of this technical genius. Vasseur’s reaction to the question about Newey joining the Italian team was recently captured, resulting in a lighthearted moment.

Newey’s departure from Red Bull until 2025 surprised the racing world. Many teams had their eyes on the 65-year-old in case an opportunity like this arose. Ferrari made a generous offer to Newey, including a “blank check,” higher salary, and greater creative freedom compared to his current position at Red Bull. However, the aerodynamics genius chose to remain silent regarding these rumors. Multiple sources suggest that Newey may be considering a late career change to Ferrari.

Reports also suggest that Newey had a meeting with Ferrari before the start of the season to discuss a possible contract. Vasseur was approached by a fan in public and questioned about this matter. Although the 55-year-old refrained from providing substantial details, his smug smile and laughter hinted at something significant. Vasseur’s non-verbal response suggests that there may be more to the story than meets the eye.

Fred Vasseur has been facing several questions about the possible change in the near future. However, the team boss has chosen to keep his silence, not leaving loose ends. Most of the automotive community is unaware of where Newey will go next season. Vasseur acknowledged the need for improvements within the team and the hiring of additional staff to enhance car development. Additionally, the 55-year-old man expressed his desire to avoid wasting energy and time getting involved in conflicts with his colleagues at Ferrari.

When repeatedly questioned about Newey’s possible contributions to Formula 1 teams, Vasseur refused to comment. He was aware that his words could be manipulated and sensationalized, potentially harming Newey’s chances of joining Ferrari. Consequently, the team boss is proceeding with caution to ensure the best possible outcome for the upcoming season.

Ferrari had a good start to the 2024 season, achieving consistent results and even winning a race. However, the addition of Adrian Newey to the team may not bring immediate success until 2025. It is expected that the aerodynamics genius will make a significant impact with the regulatory changes in 2026. Only time will reveal how the future will unfold for the 65-year-old man at the peak of motorsport.
