Gresini promete lealdade à Ducati enquanto Pramac intensifica discussões com a Yamaha – relatório.

Gresini Racing will likely continue as a Ducati customer in MotoGP in the near future, while Pramac is in discussions with Yamaha for a possible switch in 2024, according to reports. Yamaha, with its only factory team, aims to expand its presence on the grid to enhance development. Currently, Ducati supplies three satellite teams – VR46, Gresini, and Pramac – with the latter receiving factory machines. Despite being under contract with Ducati until 2025, Gresini boss Nadia Padovani dismissed rumors that her team was being courted by Yamaha factory-spec bikes. Pramac, on the other hand, is willing to wait until the last moment in July before making a decision. Yamaha reportedly made an offer to Pramac after intense negotiations. If Pramac switches to Yamaha, it would mean a significant change in expectations for the team, as they currently have access to top-class Ducati bikes. Yamaha, like Honda, is struggling to keep up with the European manufacturers. Although Pramac may sacrifice immediate success by joining Yamaha, they could potentially benefit from the new technical regulations in 2027 if Yamaha adapts well. Another consequence of Pramac’s switch to Yamaha is the impact on the rider market. Currently, Moto2 talent Fermin Aldeguer has secured a spot at Pramac Ducati, but if the team switches to Yamaha, he will need to find a place in another Ducati customer team. Additionally, the reduced number of Ducatis on the grid would limit options for riders without contracts, decreasing their chances of riding a bike capable of winning races in 2025.
