Volvo Cars regista um crescimento de 27% das vendas em abril

Volvo Cars announced that it recorded a 27% growth in its global sales in April, compared to the same month in 2023, with 65,838 units registered.

The Swedish automaker stated that the growth in sales in Europe was behind this result, with the market achieving a 65% increase in sales, where the 100% electric model EX30 was the best-selling.

Globally, the sale of the brand’s electrified models rose by 53% compared to the previous year and accounted for 48% of the total. The penetration rate of 100% electric models was 26% of the total in April. Overall, in the first four months of 2024, Volvo has already sold 248,525 vehicles, a 16% growth compared to 2023.

In Portugal, Volvo Cars’ sales in April set several records, including the best monthly registration ever, with 720 units, as well as the best monthly market share ever, 4.15%.

Driving Volvo’s sales in the national market is also the EX30, the smallest SUV ever from the Swedish brand, which is already the Volvo model with the highest volume of pre-orders ever in Portugal.

It is worth noting that Volvo Cars aims to only sell 100% electric models from 2030 onwards.
