Martin Brundle sugere que a vitória de Lando Norris no Grande Prêmio de Miami foi mais complexa do que apenas sorte com o safety car.

Lando Norris won the Miami GP with a comfortable seven-second lead over Max Verstappen of Red Bull. The young driver achieved his first Formula 1 victory in the star-studded event. However, some experts and teams dismissed his win as a stroke of luck, attributing it to the presence of the safety car during the race. A well-known F1 reporter also joined the discussion, defending Norris and praising his commendable performance.

Prior to the race in Miami, fans were expecting a dominant performance from Verstappen, who had been on a winning streak since the beginning of the 2024 season. However, they were surprised on race day when Lando Norris, benefiting from a new set of upgrades to his MCL38 car, made significant progress on the track. The timing of the safety car, caused by an accident involving two other drivers, also played into Norris’s favor.

As a result, experts argued that Norris’s victory was a result of the safety car intervention, not his own merit. In response, Martin Brundle supported the 24-year-old driver, stating that Norris was the fastest on track when in clean air. Brundle also highlighted that McLaren’s improvements performed as expected in Miami, suggesting that Norris had the potential to challenge for the win based on his raw speed.

Norris had come close to winning races on several occasions before, making him a predicted future race winner. With his long-awaited victory finally achieved in Miami, the young British driver is now motivated to continue his winning streak in the upcoming races.

After his triumph in the 57 laps of the Miami GP, Norris expressed his determination to achieve more victories. As mentioned earlier, Norris had been on the verge of winning a race before and has always aspired to become a Grand Prix winner. Now that his dream has come true, he is eager to experience the same thrill and adrenaline by continuing his winning streak in Formula 1.

However, the paddock is expected to return to its usual state in the upcoming events in Imola. Furthermore, Verstappen’s team plans to introduce improvements for the next race. Taking all these factors into consideration, the seventh stage of the ongoing campaign promises to be a highly captivating spectacle.
