The International Automobile Federation (FIA) announced that its CEO, Natalie Robyn, will be leaving the organization to pursue other opportunities outside of the FIA. Robyn has held the position since November 2022, when she became the first CEO as part of the FIA’s restructuring efforts. With experience in the automotive industry, including stints at Volvo, Nissan, and DaimlerChrysler, Robyn has decided to resign from her position after 18 months.

Reflecting on her time as CEO, Robyn expressed gratitude for the privilege of leading the FIA and overseeing its restructuring and reform. She believes the organization is now better prepared to face future challenges. Robyn is proud of her contribution to transforming the FIA in the sports and mobility sectors and is confident in leaving behind a talented and dedicated team.

Robyn’s departure follows a series of notable exits from the FIA. Sporting Director Steve Nielsen and Technical Director Tim Goss stepped down last year, and Deborah Maier chose not to extend her contract as Head of the FIA Women in Motorsport Commission. FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem acknowledged Robyn’s significant contributions to the organization’s operational and management structure, as well as its financial sustainability. He wished her success in her future endeavors on behalf of the FIA.

To fill the vacancies left by Nielsen and Goss, the FIA appointed Jan Monchaux, former Technical Director of Alfa Romeo, to take over Goss’s responsibilities. Additionally, Tim Malyon, formerly FIA Safety Director, was reassigned to the position of Sporting Director, which was vacant after Nielsen’s departure.
