Christian Horner alega que Adrian Newey só estará presente em corridas de Fórmula 1 para clientes da RB17 após sua saída inesperada.

Renowned Formula 1 aerodynamics specialist, Adrian Newey, will continue to make appearances at some F1 races this season despite his departure from Milton Keynes. Newey, who spent two remarkable decades at Red Bull Racing, played a crucial role in the team’s success. Although he is no longer involved in any F1 responsibilities for Red Bull, he was recently seen in their garage. The reason behind his presence was revealed by team principal, Christian Horner.

Horner clarified that Newey, at 65 years old, did not attend any meetings over the weekend, except one about race strategy. Additionally, he no longer has access to car data and is not involved in designing parts for the RB20. Essentially, Newey is no longer actively working for Red Bull Racing.

However, it is important to note that Newey is still associated with Red Bull Advanced Technologies. Until the end of his contract in early 2025, the 65-year-old is fully committed to working on the RB17 Hypercar. Horner also mentioned that Newey will be present at certain F1 races, where he will meet with interested clients for the RB17.

Adrian Newey is widely considered one of the greatest designers in Formula 1 history. Given his reputation, it is not surprising to hear rumors about his future endeavors. It was reported that Ferrari team principal, Fred Vasseur, had a meeting with Newey in London before the . Speculations suggest that Ferrari is willing to offer him a lucrative contract for the upcoming season. However, neither party has made any official comments on these rumors.

Ferrari CEO, , briefly mentioned Adrian Newey in the company’s first-quarter report. Vigna acknowledged that Newey was one of their clients, but simply stated that newspapers often publish various rumors about him.

So far, Adrian Newey has not revealed his plans for the future. However, it seems that the 65-year-old man is interested in taking a break from Formula 1. It is not known if he is actively seeking a new challenge in the sport. However, given the unpredictable nature of motorsport, it would not be surprising to see Newey eventually join Ferrari in the future.
