Peugeot ainda é o Hypercar mais robusto em 6H Spa após ajustes de Balance of Performance.

The FIA World Endurance Championship announced the Balance of Performance measures for the third round of the 2024 season, the 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps, with Peugeot remaining as the heaviest Hypercar.

For the race on May 11, Peugeot will compete with their latest Hypercar 9X8 Le Mans, which has undergone changes in its aerodynamics and wheel size.

Due to a scheduling conflict with the FIA World Formula E Championship round in Berlin, both Peugeot’s #93 and #94 Hypercars will be driven by only two drivers each.

After a challenging debut for the new car in Imola, which included an incident caused by another competitor on lap 1, Peugeot is now focused on achieving a more promising result for the 9X8, despite its weight disadvantage.

Peugeot’s weight has been increased by 4 kg to 1065 kg, while the maximum power of its twin-turbo 2.6L V6 hybrid electric powertrain has been reduced by 2 kilowatts (kW) to 508 kW (690 hp).

Additionally, its maximum energy per lap has been increased by 4 Megajoules (MJ) to 910 MJ.

Following their strong performance in Imola, Ferrari received the biggest weight increase among the teams. They now weigh 1053 kg, with a power of 506 kW (687 hp) and a maximum energy per lap of 905 MJ.

The Porsche 963 LMDh has been increased by 4 kg to 1037 kg, with a power of 507 kW (689 hp). Its maximum energy per lap has been increased by 3 MJ to 904 MJ.

The Toyota GR010 Hybrid, after their victory in Imola, also faces a weight increase of 4 kg to 1064 kg, a power reduction of 1 kW to 515 kW (700 hp), and a maximum energy per lap of 917 MJ after an increase of 1 MJ.

Alpine and its LMDh A424 will race with a weight reduction of 3 kg compared to Imola, weighing 1045 kg. Their power has increased by 1 kW to 513 kW (697 hp) in total, and they have the highest maximum power increase per lap among their competitors, now at 913 MJ after an increase of 4 MJ.

BMW will enter its third WEC race with its M Hybrid V8 LMDh, weighing 3 kg more, totaling 1038 kg. The power is 510 kW (693 hp) after a reduction of 1 kW, and the maximum energy per lap is 907 MJ after an increase of 2 MJ.

Cadillac will be the only Hypercar to maintain the same weight, totaling 1030 kg, making it the lightest in the class.

Their LMDh #2 V-Series.R received a power increase of 1 kW to 516 kW (701 hp), becoming the second most powerful Hypercar. They have a maximum energy per lap of 909 MJ after a reduction of 1 MJ.

The Isotta Fraschini Tipo 6-C LMH remains the most powerful, with 520 kW (707 hp), while its weight has increased by 2 kg to 1060 kg. They also have the highest maximum energy per lap, totaling 923 MJ after an increase of 3 MJ.

The Lamborghini Iron Lynx, the only Hypercar racing as a single car entry, will weigh 1035 kg after an increase of 1 kg. It has a power of 514 kW (698 hp) after a reduction of 2 kW, and the same maximum energy of 908 MJ per lap.
