The stewards reviewed the video footage and concluded that Sainz was predominantly at fault for the collision. They noted that Sainz braked late, missed the ideal racing line, and lost control of the rear, resulting in the collision. However, they also acknowledged that Piastri had given enough space for the overtaking attempt.
