Manobra de Hamilton não foi suficiente para competir com Pulling no evento da F1 em Miami.

Doriane Pin, from Prema Racing, celebrated her third place on the podium at the FIA Formula Academy Round 2 in Miami. However, she admitted that her car was not up to the challenge due to the intense heat and issues with her tires and setup.

Throughout the weekend, Pin struggled to keep up with championship leader Abbi Pulling, who dominated the race in Miami. This setback left Pin 34 points behind the Alpine Junior Driver.

Pin commented on the challenging conditions, stating that the heat and humidity made it difficult to stay hydrated during the race. She emphasized the importance of managing hydration before and after the race, especially since there is no water available in the car. Despite these obstacles, Pin, who is accustomed to endurance racing, managed to secure second place in Race 1 and third place in Race 2.

In the final moments of Race 2, Pin came close to overtaking Bianca Bustamante, the McLaren Development Driver. Although she narrowly missed the opportunity, Pin still earned valuable points, allowing her to maintain her position as second in the Drivers’ Championship.

Looking ahead to the next F1 Academy event in Barcelona from June 21-23, the Mercedes Junior Driver will embark on her debut campaign in FRECA as part of the Iron Dame’s series debut.

In addition to her participation in FRECA, Pin will continue her role as a driver for the Iron Dame’s successful team in the WEC, while aiming for Le Mans in early June.

“Yes, I have a considerable number of commitments between Barcelona. This season, I will be competing in FRECA, which represents an incredible opportunity for me as a driver. It is a challenging championship with a large number of cars, and I am looking forward to the start of the season next week,” explained Pin.

“After that, I have the 24 Hours of Le Mans with the Iron Dames. It is one of the most important races of the year, and I am excited about the prospect. I hope we can achieve a favorable result with the Iron Dames, as we have dedicated a lot of effort to this goal. I am confident that we will be strong competitors. Although I have participated in Le Mans before, competing in the GT category is a completely new experience compared to LMP2. My participation in the road to Le Mans in 2021 provided me with some valuable insights into the GT car.”

“I believe we will have enough practice sessions before the race, which will allow us to focus on ensuring that everything is in order and prepared for optimal performance. Consistency and avoiding mistakes will be crucial during the 24 Hours of Le Mans. It’s not just about speed and performance; intelligence and strategy play a significant role. I am looking forward to the challenge.”

In Barcelona, Pin will strive to regain the lead in the F1 Academy Pulling Championship and reaffirm her position as the favorite. She is very familiar with the track, having gained substantial experience there.
