Despite the challenge of working with a new engineer on a Sprint weekend, Bottas is determined to make the most of the situation with the support he is receiving. He believes that the switch is part of Sauber’s restructuring as they prepare to become an Audi factory team in 2026. Bottas emphasized that he is not involved in the decision-making process and that the changes signify ongoing transformation within the team. While not expressing dissatisfaction with Sauber’s choice, Bottas acknowledged that it reflects the team’s ever-changing nature and the arrival and departure of personnel. As a free agent for the next season, Bottas is considering his options, with only one seat available at Sauber in 2025, which has already been filled by Nico Hulkenberg, coming from Haas.
