Hamilton: Colaborar com Newey da Red Bull na Ferrari da Fórmula 1 seria uma honra

This is a paragraph of text

Lewis Hamilton expressed that the opportunity to collaborate with Adrian Newey in Formula 1 would be an “honour” amid speculation about a possible move to Ferrari. Earlier this week, Red Bull confirmed that Newey’s nearly two-decade association with the team would end in early 2025. The British designer, who holds the record for the most championships in F1 with 25 titles, including 13 during his time at Red Bull, has been linked to a transfer to Ferrari. Newey admitted to regretting not working with Hamilton, but that could change if the seven-time champion joins the team next season. When asked about the possibility of Newey joining Ferrari alongside him, Hamilton responded enthusiastically, stating: “Absolutely!” He added: “Adrian has an impressive track record and has consistently excelled in his career by effectively collaborating with teams and leveraging his extensive knowledge. I believe his addition would be exceptional. They already have a fantastic team that has made significant progress and advancements this year, with a faster car. However, it would be a privilege to work with him.” Hamilton refrained from disclosing whether Newey was discussed during his negotiations with Ferrari president John Elkann and team principal Frederic Vasseur, emphasizing that it was a private matter. However, he acknowledged that if he had to create a list of people he would like to collaborate with, Newey would undoubtedly be at the top. When asked about the likelihood of driving a car designed by Newey, Hamilton replied: “I’m uncertain. We’ll have to wait and see.” As Hamilton prepares to join the Maranello-based team, which has not won a championship since 2008, he indicated that his decision to leave Mercedes for Ferrari was influenced by the current structure implemented by Elkann and Vasseur. Hamilton clarified: “At this moment, nothing has changed because I am not aware of what the future holds. What I do know is that I am joining a highly enthusiastic, motivated team that is currently performing exceptionally well, with a storied history. So far, nothing significant has changed.”
